How to Create a Personalized Format?

Learn how to use the Personalized Format feature to streamline your documentation process.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Personalized formats in Berries allow you to tailor notes to match your unique style and workflow. This guide will walk you through the process of customizing your notes using an ideal template, ensuring that every session is documented exactly as needed.

1. Create a Personalized Format by Editing a Note

1.1. Open any note

Select a note from the sidebar.

1.2. Learn Format

Make the necessary edits to your note. Once you are satisfied, click Learn. In the pop-up window, enter a name for your format and click Save style & formatting.

2. Create a Personalized Format from Scratch

2.1. Access the Formats Page

Click on Formats on the bar at the top of the screen.

2.2. Create a New Personalized Format

Click New Personalized Format. In the pop-up window, enter a name for your format and click Create & customize.

2.3. Edit & Save

To create your ideal personalized format, insert content from a sample note you perfected into each section. The closer your sample matches your preferred style, the better Berries will adapt. You can also customize the format by adding, removing, or rearranging content, as well as adjusting the formatting. Once you're satisfied with the content in each section, click Save to finalize your personalized format.

3. Review and Edit Existing Formats

To access your list of formats, click Formats on the bar at the top of the screen.

On the 'Formats' page, you can refine (1) your existing Personalized Formats, create (2) new ones, delete unused formats (3), or duplicate (4) existing ones to make minor adjustments. Just remember to save (5) your edits when you're done.

4. Tips and Best Practices

  • Using Templates: Start with Berries built-in templates and customize them to fit your needs.

  • Tailoring Formats: Create personalized formats for each type of session you conduct (e.g., initial assessments, follow-ups) to streamline documentation and ensure consistency.

  • Regular Updates: Regularly review and refine your formats to ensure they align with your evolving documentation needs, keeping your workflow efficient and consistent.
