How to Use the Session Assistant Panel?

Learn how to prepare, guide, and document your sessions more effectively with the new Session Assistant panel.

Updated this week

The Session Assistant is your new clinical partner in Berries, built to support you before, during, and after every session. With instant access to key details, smart AI insights, and built-in planning tools, it helps you stay organized, focused, and confident throughout your workflow.

To open the Session Assistant Panel:

  1. Select a patient.

  2. Click the Session Assistant button.

The panel will appear on the right side of your screen and can stay open throughout your live session.

Here’s what you’ll find inside the Session Assistant panel:

1. Session Preparation

The Preparation tab offers a concise, up-to-date snapshot of your patient’s recent session. It helps you quickly orient yourself in the patient’s ongoing narrative so you can begin the session informed and focused.

You can review:

  • Follow up points.

  • The summary of the last session.

2. Summary

The Summary tab gives you a complete, AI-generated overview of your patient’s history. Review their journey, medications, risks, interventions, and follow-up actions in one place, so you can spot key details quickly and guide your care with confidence.

3. Assistant Chat

The Assistant Chat tab brings Berries AI into your session workflow. It uses your patient’s history, diagnoses, and treatment plan to generate real time answers and helpful insights.

You can:

  • Ask questions like “How has progress changed?” or “What are the key milestones?”

  • Get suggestions for goals, interventions, follow up questions, and billing codes

  • Request explanations of clinical concepts during your session

  • Type any question, clinical or administrative, and receive relevant AI generated suggestions

4. Diagnosis

The Smart Diagnosis tab allows you to review AI-powered diagnosis suggestions based on your session notes. It’s designed to improve accuracy, speed up documentation, and keep your note aligned with your clinical impression.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Review and approve suggested diagnoses, which then saved to the patient’s profile.

  • Search manually for diagnoses if you prefer.

  • See brief justifications explaining why each diagnosis was suggested.

5. Treatment Plan

The Treatment Plan tab allows you to review the latest treatment plan, including symptoms, progress, and goals.
