Smart Diagnosis is a feature in Berries designed to streamline your clinical documentation. Powered by AI, it suggests optional diagnoses based on your session notes, helping save time and improve accuracy. You can review, approve, and manage diagnoses directly within the patient and note experience, making it easier to keep patient records organized and up to date.
1. Where to Find Smart Diagnosis
You can access and manage diagnoses directly from:
Note page: Scroll to the bottom of the note page to find the Diagnosis section.
Patient page: Click Patients in the Berries header, select your patient from the list, and open the Diagnosis tab.
2. How to Use Smart Diagnosis
There are two main ways to interact with Smart Diagnosis:
2.1. Review Suggested Diagnoses
Smart Diagnosis can automatically suggest diagnoses based on your session notes. Review the suggested diagnoses and choose whether to approve or reject them.
Once approved, the diagnosis is saved directly to the patient profile, helping future notes stay more consistent and accurate.
Each suggested diagnosis includes a brief justification showing which parts of the session note contributed to the recommendation. This helps you quickly understand why a diagnosis was suggested and decide whether to approve it.
2.2. Search Diagnoses
You can also search for diagnoses manually. Simply type the ICD codes or relevant terms into the diagnosis search field, and Berries will display matching diagnosis options for you to select.
2. What to Expect from Smart Diagnosis
Enhanced Accuracy: Once a diagnosis is approved, it is automatically saved to the patient profile, improving continuity and consistency across future notes.
Streamlined Workflow: Smart Diagnosis helps reduce time spent searching for diagnoses or rewriting details, allowing you to focus more on your patients.
Easy Access: Diagnoses are accessible both from the patient page and directly within the note page, making them easy to review while documenting.
Integrated with Copy Note: Diagnoses from Smart Diagnosis are now included by default when using the Copy Note feature, available at the bottom right corner of the note page. If you prefer not to include them, you can update this in your Account Settings under Note Preferences.
